Two-Wire Communication & Connectivity
The FT630-2 is designed to bridge long distances between a control panel and a radio system using a DC-capable two-wire line.
- ST1 Connector (Line) – Connects the two-wire line.
- ST2 Connector (Radio) – Connects the unit to the radio, transmitting audio and control signals.
NF Signal Adjustment
To optimize audio quality, two potentiometers are provided:
- Poti P1: Adjusts audio signal from radio to two-wire connection.
- Poti P2: Adjusts incoming signal from the two-wire connection to the radio.
PTT & Squelch Detection
The FT630-2 supports push-to-talk activation and squelch monitoring:
- PTT is triggered by applying a DC voltage greater than 4.5V to the two-wire line.
- Squelch detection is handled via Pin 3 on ST2, and a relay ensures proper triggering.
